Synagogue and Prayer Services
At Chabad in Kampala, there is a warm and inviting synagogue open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. It is recommended to come during these hours to pray joyfully, connect with God and the soul with warmth and holiness.
Community Prayer Services
Currently, communal evening prayers are held on Tuesdays, and morning, afternoon, and evening prayers are held on Fridays and Saturdays.
Unfortunately, most prayers currently do not have a quorum (minyan), but there is a warm and special atmosphere of prayer, with Jews praying together, uplifting songs, and Torah teachings. It's truly a unique and moving experience that shouldn't be missed (ask those who have attended).
You are welcome to come at any time to pray and connect with the Creator.
Prayer Times:
Thursday - Evening prayers at 8:30 PM (followed by a Torah class)
Friday - Afternoon prayers at 6:40 PM
7:00 PM - Torah class
7:30 PM - Reception of Shabbat prayers
Saturday - 10:00 AM - Chasidic teachings
11:00 AM - Morning prayers (followed by a meal)
(On Saturdays, Psalms are recited at 9:00 AM)
6:30 PM - Afternoon prayers
Evening prayers vary according to sunset. Generally between approximately 7:08 PM to 7:30 PM.
During special times like remembrance (Yizkor) when a quorum and the recitation of Kaddish are needed, please speak with Rabbi Moshe, and we will make every effort to organize a minyan.
