Currently, there is no kosher mikveh available for women's immersion in Uganda. While some water sources in the country, such as Lake Victoria, are halachically suitable for immersion, many water sources are contaminated with bilharzia. Therefore, we advise planning your trip so that you can immerse in neighboring countries where there are accessible and kosher mikvehs.

Neighboring countries operating kosher mikvehs include:

• Ethiopia - Contact the local Chabad emissary within the Jewish community.
• South Africa: Johannesburg and Cape Town
• Congo: Kinshasa
• Kenya: Within the Jewish community compound.

Meanwhile, we are currently engaged in land acquisition and the construction of a kosher mikveh in Uganda. You are invited to contribute financially towards the establishment of Uganda's first kosher mikveh!
