Synagogue/Prayer Services:

Within the Chabad compound in Uganda, there is a pleasant and inviting synagogue open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. It is encouraged to come during these hours to pray joyfully and connect with God and your soul in a warm and holy atmosphere.

Community Prayer Services:

Currently, communal evening prayers are held on Thursdays, and morning and evening prayers are held on weekends (Friday and Saturday).

Unfortunately, most prayers currently do not have a minyan, but there is a warm and special atmosphere of prayer with a community of Jews praying together, uplifting songs, and Torah discussions throughout. It is truly a special and moving experience that shouldn’t be missed (ask those who have been).

You are welcome to come at any time to pray and connect with the Creator.

Prayer Times:

Thursday - Evening prayers at 8:30 PM (followed by Torah study)

Friday - Afternoon prayers at 6:40 PM

7:00 PM - Torah study

7:30 PM - Kabbalat Shabbat prayers

Saturday - 10:00 AM - Chassidut study

11:00 AM - Morning prayers (followed by a meal)

(On Saturdays at 9:00 AM, Psalm reading is conducted)

6:30 PM - Afternoon prayers

Evening prayers vary according to sunset time, usually between approximately 7:08 PM to 7:30 PM.

For special occasions such as Yahrzeit requiring a minyan and saying Kaddish, please contact Rabbi Moshe through the following link: bit.ly/3RM50s0 and we will make every effort to organize a minyan.

Torah Study Sessions:

Chabad offers a variety of Torah study options, both in group lessons and one-on-one chavruta sessions with Rabbi Moshe in all Torah disciplines.

Currently, public Torah lessons are held on:

Thursday at 8:30 PM with a study on the weekly Torah portion (along with a light evening meal)

Friday at 7:00 PM with a talk from the Rabbi on the weekly Torah portion (followed by Kabbalat Shabbat prayers and a meal)

Saturday at 10:00 AM with a Chassidut study session (accompanied by coffee and cake)

During summer Saturdays, an additional Torah study session on Pirkei Avot is held at 6:30 PM.

These sessions take place at Chabad.

Feel free to contact us at any time to schedule a one-on-one Torah study "chavruta" session in any Torah discipline with Rabbi Moshe: bit.ly/3RM50s0
